Bark of birch contains eg betulin and was isolated for the first time already in 1836

Marigold (Calendula officinalis)
Marigold especially when in form of oil has since ancient times been used to heal and clean.
It is from the flower’s very good antiseptic and antifungal properties that give the healing ability. Marigold can bring relief and healing in various types of skin problems such as acne, eczema and skin irritations. It can also counteract inflammation.
As herbal tea it is often used to treat sleep problems, nervousness and headaches.
Cranberry (Vaccinium Oxycoccus)
Cranberries contain among other antioxidants resveratrol benefits and even fiber, vitamin C, vitamin D, folate, iron, zinc, calcium, but also a substance called PAC.
Modern research has noted today that cranberries have many preventive, linked properties, so that for many years have been used in the old household course treatments against various infections.
Cranberry help to provide resilience and strength to the hair and hair root and prevents inflammations of the skin and scalp.
Seabuckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides)
Sea buckthorn and sea buckthorn oil has gained a lot of attention in recent years. The yellow berries have long been used in traditional medicine, especially in China. Several research papers in Sweden and Europe stresses Seabuckthorn beneficial effect, both externally and internaly.
The oil is beneficial for the skin and hair and is said to keep skin & hair young and healthy.
The oil is also believed to help alleviate some simple skin conditions. The berries taste a bit like passion fruit and contains minerals, antioxidants and fatty acids, plus vitamins.

Prevents hair loss. Within herbal cosmetics nettles are used, among other things for the production of hair tonic as it strengthens hair roots and prevents dandruff and hair loss.
Nettles clean the skin and is therefore used for steam or face masks and suits all skin types.

Keratin is a very elastic protein that is the major component of hair and nails.
The hair is made up approximately 80% of the protein keratin. 10-15% is water and the remaining 5-10% are pigments, minerals, and fats.
The outermost layer, the cuticle, forming a protective cover for the hair nucleus, cortex, which constitutes about 80% of the hair’s total mass.
Treatments such as bleaching, dyeing and perms act directly on the cortex and removes natural keratin.

The exclusive argan oil, which is only grown in Morocco has many beneficial properties. Best known is for their skin care and hair care effect. Argan oil is rich in vitamin E, carotene and other substances that make skin and hair soft, smooth and elastic.
It is used to advantage before and after sunbathing. It also has a positive effect on eczema, acne, psoriasis and skin allergies. Like many other vegetable oils Argan oil has a positive effect against cardiovascular disease. Among other things, helps the rich content of antioxidants and unsaturated fatty acids to lower blood cholesterol levels
Omega 3-6 & 9 contains an optimal mixture of unsaturated omega fatty acids. The sources are fish fat, flaxseed and borage oil.
Omega 3-6-9 is good for skin & hair because it is one of the basic building blocks.
Important for Ceramides and are a type of fat molecules / fatty acids, helps to conserve moisture, provide energy, antioxidant rich. Provides protection and vitality to growing hair.

Scientists know today thirteen different vitamins . Four of them are fat soluble and the rest is water soluble.
Vitamin D belongs to the fat-soluble group.
The distinction is important because it tells us about the nutrient excreted from the body or if it is stored in cells and organs.
Vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and vitamin K are fat soluble.
Vitamin D contributes to normal absorption / utilization of the mineral calcium. Human beings consist of about 1 kg of calcium, and calcium is one of the major building blocks.

People with different pigments have different problems to produce vitamin D. The reason is that the pigment, melanin, competing with vitamin D production.
